JPG or PNG for PDF pages?

JPG for photo-heavy or scanned pages (much smaller), PNG for text-heavy pages (sharper edges). This page is preset to JPG; switch to the PNG variant if text sharpness wins.

What resolution should I pick?

2× (~150 DPI) is crisp on screens and the default. Use 3× when the images are headed to print.

How many pages can I convert?
