Questions before you clean Gemini images.
GenClean is built for private, browser-side cleanup of the visible Gemini corner mark on generated images you own or have permission to edit.
Does GenClean upload my images?
No. Image decoding, detection, cleanup, preview, and PNG export run locally in your browser. Production usage checks only send account and entitlement metadata.
What is included for free?
The free plan lets users test single-image cleanup. Production can enforce a daily free limit through a serverless usage check.
What does Pro unlock?
Pro unlocks unlimited visible Gemini mark cleanups, batch processing, ZIP export, and an ad-free workspace for a one-time $9 launch payment. The regular value can be shown as $29 while the launch deal is active.
How do I unlock Pro on another browser?
Buy Pro through Polar, then use your purchase email and GenClean license key in the Unlock Pro dialog. The browser stores the activation locally, while Supabase remains the source of truth for the entitlement.
Can I batch process folders?
Yes. Pro users can select multiple Gemini images, process them locally, and download cleaned PNG files in one ZIP. Browser memory still matters, so very large queues are better suited for the planned desktop app.
Can I use GenClean for client work?
Use GenClean only on images you generated, own, or have permission to edit. Do not use it to remove rights-management marks from third-party assets.
Does GenClean remove SynthID or invisible AI provenance?
No. GenClean is for visible presentation cleanup of the Gemini corner mark. It is not designed to remove invisible provenance signals such as SynthID, bypass AI detection, or hide required AI disclosures.
Will GenClean support video?
Gemini video mark cleanup is planned as a coming soon workflow. It should not be treated as included until it is shipped and listed as an active Pro feature.
Why mention a desktop app?
The browser version is best for private single-image cleanup and normal batches. A desktop app can support larger batch queues more reliably because it can use local system resources without browser tab limits.
