No. It changes the intended print scale, not the number of pixels. Print detail depends on pixel dimensions divided by the physical print size.

Will this tool resize or recompress my image?

How large can my image print at 300 DPI?

Divide pixel width and height by 300. For example, 3000 by 2400 pixels corresponds to 10 by 8 inches at 300 DPI.
