When to use it
Check whether a JPG or PNG contains print-resolution metadata, see its pixel and estimated print dimensions, and write a new DPI value without resampling the image. Pixel dimensions and visual quality remain untouched.
- Set artwork to 300 DPI for a print submission portal.
- Check whether a photo is tagged as 72, 96, or 300 DPI.
- Correct print-size metadata without degrading or resampling pixels.
