How it works

Image Resizer in 4 steps

  1. Drop an image onto the tool or click Choose File.

  2. Enter a width or height in pixels - the other dimension follows automatically while the aspect lock is on.

  3. Or use a percentage preset (25%, 50%, 75%) for quick scaling.

  4. The preview updates as you type - check it and download.

When to use it

Resize any image to exact dimensions or a percentage of the original, with the aspect ratio locked so nothing gets stretched. Resizing runs locally in your browser - your photo is never uploaded.

  • Hit exact pixel requirements for avatars, banners, and listing images.
  • Downscale camera photos so they fit forum and CMS upload limits.
  • Standardize a mixed folder of images to one width with Pro batch.

Format & quality notes

  • Downscaling keeps images sharp. Upscaling beyond the original size can't add detail and will look soft.
  • Output format follows the input (JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG), so transparency is preserved for PNG and WebP.
  • Unlock the aspect ratio only when you deliberately want to stretch or squash the image.
FAQ

Questions about the Image Resizer.

Will resizing blur my image?

Making an image smaller keeps it crisp - the resizer uses high-quality interpolation. Making it larger than the original can't invent detail, so expect softness when upscaling.

Can I set exact dimensions like 1200×630?

Yes - turn off the aspect lock and enter both width and height. With the lock on, entering one dimension calculates the other to avoid distortion.

Does the image stay on my device?

Yes. Resizing happens in your browser; no upload, no server copy.
